Job Profile: Project Head - Solar EPC Job Overview: The Project Head will lead and oversee the end-to-end execution of solar energy projects in our Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) division. This role is pivotal in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while driving operational efficiency and client satisfaction in the renewable energy sector. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills and deep expertise in solar EPC to manage cross-functional teams and navigate complex project challenges. Key Responsibilities: • Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessments for solar EPC projects. Oversee all phases from site assessment and engineering design to procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover. • Team Leadership: Lead multidisciplinary teams including engineers, Designers, procurement specialists, contractors, and subcontractors. Foster a collaborative environment, conduct performance reviews, and ensure compliance with safety and quality protocols. • Budget and Cost Management: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and optimize resource utilization to maximize profitability. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on project deliverables. • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders. Manage expectations, resolve issues, and ensure transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle. • Risk Mitigation and Compliance: Identify potential risks in solar projects (e.g., weather impacts, supply chain disruptions) and implement mitigation strategies. A Master's degree or certifications like PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent is preferred. • Experience: 5-7+ years of hands-on experience in the solar EPC industry, with proven track record in managing large-scale solar projects (e.g., utility-scale or rooftop installations). Experience in project bidding, contract negotiation, and execution is essential. • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, including design software (e.g., PVsyst, AutoCAD), grid integration, and EPC best practices.
