As a Purchaser / Sourcing Specialist for sheet metal, machining, and manufacturing parts, your main objective is to oversee the procurement and sourcing processes to ensure the supply of quality components at competitive prices, all the while ensuring timely delivery to support manufacturing operations. Your responsibilities will include identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, generating purchase orders, and tracking procurement activities. You will collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to understand technical requirements, monitor supplier performance, conduct market research for new sourcing options, manage supplier relationships, and maintain procurement records in compliance with company policies. To excel in this role, you should ideally hold a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering with at least 10 years of experience in procurement within a manufacturing environment, particularly in sheet metal and machining parts. Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in procurement tools, ERP systems, and MS Office. A solid understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards is crucial, as is the ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Experience in international sourcing and import-export procedures, as well as technical knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and machining processes, would be advantageous in this position. By ensuring adherence to company procurement policies and procedures, you will play a key role in optimizing costs, maintaining quality standards, and facilitating the smooth operation of manufacturing plants.,
