Role Purpose: To provide financial leadership by overseeing consolidated reporting, statutory compliance, budgeting, and audit readiness across all SBUs (Retail, E-commerce, Temple Interiors, Exports). While day-to-day transactional accounting is handled by Accounts Executives at Kanchipuram using GoFrugal, this role ensures financial control, validation, and accurate integration into Tally and Zoho Books. Key Responsibilities: 1. Financial Oversight & Reporting Review consolidated accounting entries and ledgers maintained in Gofrugal Validate data received from GoFrugal through Accounts Executives at Kanchipuram Ensure inter-branch and inter-SBU ledger accuracy Supervise preparation of Trial Balance, P&L, and Balance Sheet monthly and quarterly 2. Statutory Compliance & Taxation Oversee timely GST return filings (monthly/quarterly) and reconciliation Manage TDS deduction, payment, and quarterly return filing via Traces Coordinate with external consultants on income tax filings, audits, and advance tax Liaise with HR to ensure PF, ESI, and professional tax compliance 3. Payables & Receivables Control Monitor cash/UPI/online collections reconciliation from retail stores Review vendor aging reports and schedule payment cycles Track receivables from institutional clients, temple projects, and exports 4. Payroll Input Review Validate HR-submitted inputs: claims, and incentives Approve final payroll sheet before salary disbursement Review compliance with salary-related deductions 5. Internal Controls & Audit Preparedness Conduct regular internal audits of branch financial documentation Define financial SOPs for Accounts Executives and branch teams Prepare documentation for statutory, internal, and tax audits Monitor adherence to reporting timelines and accuracy 6. MIS & Budgeting Create and maintain SBU-wise MIS reports and financial dashboards Collaborate with management on annual budgeting and cost control Track expense variance and suggest improvements Cross Functional Collaboration: Function Interaction Scope Retail Stores POS data validation, GoFrugal deposit reconciliation Temple Projects Custom invoicing, vendor coordination E-commerce Razorpay and PayPal reconciliation, refund processing Purchase Dept. PO verification, vendor bill validation via GoFrugal HR & Admin Payroll, incentives, statutory contribution reviews Auditors/Consultants Quarterly filings, audits, and compliance updates Tools & Platforms: Zoho Books (upcoming transition) GoFrugal (retail billing and PO system) GST Portal Traces (TDS) Excel (cash flow, budgets, variance reports) KPIs: Timely GST and TDS filings Accuracy in consolidated MIS and financial reports Zero audit non-compliance cases Timely reconciliation of GoFrugal data with Tally books Vendor and receivable aging resolution within targets
