Job Description

LOOKING FOR FEMALE

  • DMOs are responsible for wards as delegated by the medical services department.
  • Taking history & examining the patient within half an hour of admission and document the plan of care as well as progress notes in the medical record meticulously. Report to the treating consultant about the same
  • Check the current medication of the patient and document it in the medical reconciliation form.
  • Inform the respective consultant about the admission and follow the consultant’s instruction.
  • All cases should be reviewed in every shift and documented in the case sheet
  • In drug chart, allergy column should be filled and signed, drug name should be written in capital letter. The DMO should sign and enter the name wherever it is required. Medication discontinued should be as per the hospital policy.
  • The DMO should follow up all the pending referrals/investigation .Any delay in referrals beyond 24 hours should be intimated to concerned ward/ICU in-charge.
  • The discharge summary should be kept ready a day before patient gets discharged. All shift DMOs have the responsibility in preparing planned discharge.
  • All DMOs are supposed to accompany the consultants for their daily in-patient rounds, and keep themselves updated on the patient’s condition, treatment plan and expected duration of in-patient stay.
  • Participate in camps organized by the hospital, when requested to do so in consultation with the Department HOD.
  • While shifting or receiving the patient from one area to another, transfer out and in notes should be recorded in the progress notes.
  • DMOs have to do Sunday duties and public holidays, as per the roster given to them by the medical services team.
  • Attend to and examine emergency cases in Emergency Room as required.
  • To attend to patient’s complaints. Calm the patients, if they are apprehensive. Inform the consultant.
  • Enter pre-operative orders in the treatment sheet. Check whether the consent for the surgery has been taken from the patient. If not, inform the respective Consultant. Inform the anesthetists on duty about the patient. Carry out all pre-operative orders
  • Instruct the nursing staff about the necessary orders to be carried out.
  • Perform all the procedures required for the patient, all those that have been authorized for, according to your level of qualification.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
