About the Role We’re looking for a Business Development Executive who can bring in exciting partnerships, build long-term relationships with brands, and help DU Beat grow its footprint across universities and youth audiences. Think of this role as part sales, part relationship-building, part problem-solving - and a whole lot of fun. What You’ll Do * Pitch DU Beat’s media, events, and content solutions to brands, agencies, and university partners. * Identify new leads and create opportunities across categories like education, lifestyle, tech, food, fashion, and more. * Build, manage, and grow client relationships. Be the person brands want to work with. * Create proposals, basic media plans, and tailored partnership ideas. * Work with the editorial, social, and video teams to execute campaigns smoothly (and creatively!). * Track your pipeline, maintain CRM hygiene, and keep weekly revenue forecasts updated. * Represent DU Beat at events, fairs, pop-ups, and brand meetings. Be the face of the coolest student media brand in India. * Keep an eye on youth trends, campus movements, and what students care about. Who You Are * 1–2 years of experience in media sales, event sponsorship sales, or sales/BD at an ad or marketing agency. * Great with communication. * Comfortable pitching and presenting to clients. * Curious, energetic, and self-driven; you love meeting people and closing deals. * Comfortable juggling multiple campaigns without dropping balls. * Strong understanding of youth culture, digital media, and branded content. Bonus Points If You * Have worked with youth or creator-focused brands. * Already have contacts in the marketing/agency world. * Can think out-of-the-box and package fun, campus-friendly brand ideas.
