As a Technical And Scientific Expert (TSE) at Datwyler, you will play a crucial role in the high visibility and high impact area of healthcare. Your primary responsibility will involve collaborating with global pharmaceutical and biotech companies to develop innovative and life-saving drug packaging solutions. Working as a part of the Technical and Scientific Services (TSS) Team within Datwyler Healthcare, you will be based in the US and report directly to the Global Head of TSS. This team, which is customer-focused and operates on a global scale, collaborates closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management to achieve the business objectives of Datwyler Healthcare. Your role will entail providing exceptional scientific support and insights both externally to customers and internally to stakeholders. Your main duties as a TSE will include implementing the scientific strategy for assigned customer accounts, leading the technical sales process, and positioning Datwyler Healthcare products to external customers based on scientific insights and technical information. It will be essential for you to actively listen to customers and internal business units to gather relevant scientific and technical information, adapt to varying customer profiles and expectations, and act as the conduit between external customers and internal technical functions to achieve tactical and strategic goals. Moreover, you will be expected to address scientific inquiries from customers promptly, stay abreast of emerging scientific trends to initiate internal projects, align with Business Strategy, Product Strategy, and Customer Strategy, and enhance Datwyler Healthcare's scientific and technical credibility internally and externally. This will involve delivering technical presentations at conferences or webinars, providing customer and internal trainings, and building scientific relationships with customers in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. To excel in this role, you should possess key attributes such as a curious and learning mindset, an affinity for technical and scientific discussions with pharmaceutical and biotech customers, the ability to work in a cross-functional, global team environment, and a scientific, technical, or engineering background combined with business acumen. Furthermore, you should be willing to learn about Datwyler packaging components, specifically elastomers, and their applications in drug packaging. This position is remote with occasional travel to Datwyler's Pune site, and being located near pharmaceutical hubs in Hyderabad is advantageous. You should be prepared to travel to conferences, trade shows, and customer visits (20-30%), attend targeted events to expand your network with customers, and be comfortable with both domestic and international travel. Ideally, you should hold a Ph.D. or Master's Degree in Life Sciences, Natural Sciences, Engineering, or a related field, along with 3+ years of relevant experience. An educational background or experience in Life Sciences, knowledge of drug products and therapeutic classes, and proficiency in drug research or formulation would be beneficial. Background or experience in drug research or formulation and knowledge of drug products and therapeutic classes are considered a plus.
