As a UAV Systems Intern at our Bangalore location, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the operation, calibration, and troubleshooting of UAV systems. Your responsibilities will include working with Pixhawk-based hardware platforms, integrating various UAV components, and configuring Ground Control Station (GCS) tools like Mission Planner and QGroundControl (QGCS). Additionally, you will be involved in PID tuning, parameter optimization, and collaborating on UAV system simulations using software tools and ROS2 frameworks. Communication between UAV components using UART and I2C protocols will also be part of your tasks. It is essential that you document processes, findings, and contribute to building a knowledge repository. To excel in this role, you should have a basic understanding of UAV operations, components, and functionality. Knowledge of communication protocols such as UART and I2C, familiarity with Pixhawk-based hardware and associated peripherals, and hands-on experience with GCS tools like Mission Planner and QGCS are required. Foundational knowledge of UAV parameters, PID tuning, and calibration processes is essential, along with exposure to simulation software and ROS2 for UAV development. A portfolio showcasing relevant projects and achievements is preferred. This is a 3-month paid internship where you will assist in UAV system design, integration, and testing, work on flight control, navigation, and communication systems, troubleshoot and optimize drone performance, and collaborate with senior engineers on R&D projects. We are looking for individuals with knowledge of aerodynamics, electronics, and embedded systems, experience with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and PX4 would be a plus.
