Full job description Key Responsibilities: Assist dentists and specialists during dental procedures by handing them instruments, operating suction devices, and providing other chairside assistance. Prepare treatment rooms for patient procedures by setting up instruments, equipment, and materials. Take and process dental X-rays as directed by the dentist, ensuring compliance with radiation safety protocols. Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to infection control guidelines. Prepare and maintain dental materials, such as dental cements, impression materials, and restorative materials. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions. Perform basic laboratory duties, such as pouring and trimming models, and fabricating temporary crowns. Schedule patient appointments and maintain accurate patient records in the practice management software system.
