Rawatsons Engineers Pvt. Ltd. is a leading contractor for the Indian Railways since 1982, specializing in high-precision steel bridge fabrication, erection, and associated structural works across India. We are expanding our technical team and looking for a detail-oriented Draughtsman with strong AutoCAD skills and experience in structural/steel fabrication drawings.

Role Overview

The Draughtsman will be responsible for preparing, interpreting, and managing structural steel drawings for railway bridge projects. The role includes creating working drawings, preparing BOQs, verifying vendor and material bills, and supporting billing submissions to Railways. The candidate must have strong knowledge of AutoCAD and an understanding of steel structures. Experience in railway bridge drawings will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Drawing & Drafting

Prepare structural steel drawings for Railway steel bridges (girders, cross-girders, rail-bearers, handrails, pathways, stiffeners, gussets, etc.).

Read and interpret “Railway/RDSO drawings”, tender drawings, and fabrication drawings.

Prepare “working drawings”, shop drawings, and erection drawings for fabrication teams.

Update modifications and revisions as per site requirements or Railway engineer instructions.

2. BOQ & Documentation

* Prepare detailed **Bill of Quantities (BOQ)** for structural steel items based on drawings.

* Quantify steel members, plates, fittings, and accessories accurately.

3. Billing & Verification

* Prepare Railway bills(MB entries, statement of material, measurements, etc.).

* Verify material bills, vendor bills, and consumption sheets based on drawings and BOQs.

* Coordinate with site teams to validate quantities and measurements.

4. Coordination & Support

* Work closely with the design team, fabrication unit, procurement, and site engineers.

* Assist in structural design calculations (if familiar).

* Maintain drawing records, revision logs, and compliance documentation as required by Railways.

Required Skills & Qualifications

* Diploma / ITI in Civil / Mechanical Draftsmanship or related field.

* **Strong proficiency in AutoCAD** (mandatory).

* Ability to read, interpret, and prepare **structural steel drawings**.

* Understanding of **RDSO / Railway bridge drawings** preferred.

* Knowledge of **structural steel fabrication processes** (cutting, welding, assembly, erection).

* Basic understanding of **structural calculations** (advantageous).

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

* Ability to work under timelines and manage multiple drawings/documents.

Experience :0-5 years (experience in drafting structural steel drawings / industrial fabrication drawings.)

Experience in Railway bridge works is a strong plus.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,712.06 per month
