Draftsman CAD

As a Draftsman CAD, you will be responsible for preparing 2D engineering drawings using various tools for mechanical parts, tools, jigs, fixtures, assemblies, and other components. You will interpret design concepts, technical data, and sketches provided by engineers or designers, converting them into precise drawings. Additionally, you will create detailed layouts, exploded views, and dimensional drawings as per industry and internal standards. Your role will involve revising drawings based on change requests or feedback from design, production, or quality teams. It is important to maintain drawing documentation and version control systematically. You will collaborate with engineers to resolve drawing-related queries and ensure accurate output, while also ensuring adherence to tolerances, material specifications, and drawing norms. Furthermore, you will support design validation processes by providing accurate and clear technical documentation. You will assist in the preparation of Bill of Materials (BOM) based on finalized drawings. Organizing and maintaining a structured drawing database for easy access and retrieval will also be part of your responsibilities.
