We are committed to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Role Description This is an on-site contract role for a Chief Engineer based in Mumbai. The Chief Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the technical operations of the vessel, ensuring the maintenance and repair of all machinery and equipment on board. This role includes conducting regular inspections, managing the engineering crew, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and preparing reports. The Chief Engineer will also be responsible for fuel management, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating with the management onshore for operational needs. Qualifications Extensive experience in technical operations and maintenance of marine machinery and equipment Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in the maritime industry Excellent leadership and team management skills Professional certification or degree in Marine Engineering or a related field Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for technical issues Good communication and reporting skills Experience with fuel management and cost control Ability to work effectively with onshore management Previous experience as a Chief Engineer or in a similar senior engineering role
