The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining back-end web applications, writing and reviewing code, and ensuring the performance and reliability of our software systems. The role involves applying principles of computer science, software development, and programming to solve complex technical problems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance our AI-driven products. Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Machine Learning Engineer, with specialization in Vision Learning Models or VLMs. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and optimizing vision learning models, particularly in domains such as deep learning frameworks, and programming skills in Python, C++ or similar language. The Machine Learning Engineer will work with cross-functional teams to enhance AI products, validate model performance, and contribute to the development of cutting-edge solutions like InstaBud and The PreCogs. Qualifications - MUST HAVE: Strong foundation in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Algorithms Expertise in Core Frameworks like Hugging Face (Transformers, PEFT, TRL), LangChain, LlamaIndex, PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc. Experience in Computer Science principles and programming - Python, C++ or similar Expertise in techniques like fine-tuning (LoRA, QLoRA), RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), prompt engineering, quantization (GGUF, AWQ), and / or vector databases (Pinecone, ChromaDB, Weaviate). Experience with deploying and optimizing AI/ML models for production - Ollama, vLLM, TGI (Text Generation Inference), Triton Inference Server, FastAPI, and / or REST API Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work collaboratively in a distributed, remote team environment Qualifications - NICE TO HAVE: Familiarity or experience with concepts like LLMOps, MLOps, Model Monitoring, Performance Monitoring, Drift Detection (Concept Drift, Data Drift), Observability Working knowledge or experience with Tools like Prometheus, Grafana, MLflow, Arize AI, WhyLabs, Evidently AI Experience with Amazon CloudWatch, SageMaker Model Monitor, or AWS X-Ray Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field preferred Experience in financial technology or property claim technologies is a plus
