DIDT Campus is currently seeking a talented and dedicated Interior Designing Faculty member to join our team. As an Interior Designing Faculty member, you will have the opportunity to inspire and mentor students, fostering their creativity, technical skills, and industry knowledge to prepare them for successful careers in the dynamic field of interior design. Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Development: Develop and deliver engaging and innovative curriculum materials for interior design courses, incorporating industry trends, techniques, and best practices. Design hands-on projects, assignments, and workshops to enhance students practical skills and creative abilities in areas such as space planning, furniture design, lighting, and material selection. Instruction and Teaching: Conduct lectures, studio sessions, and design critiques to impart theoretical knowledge and practical expertise in various aspects of interior design. Guide students through the design process, from conceptualization and ideation to presentation and implementation, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and design excellence. Studio Supervision: Oversee studio activities and projects, providing guidance, feedback, and support to students as they develop their design concepts and proposals. Encourage collaboration, experimentation, and exploration of innovative design solutions, while ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and client requirements. Mentorship and Advising: Serve as a mentor and advisor to students, offering academic and career guidance, portfolio development assistance, and networking opportunities. Foster a culture of mentorship and collaboration, empowering students to explore their interests, develop their design identities, and pursue their professional aspirations with confidence and enthusiasm. Industry Engagement: Stay abreast of current trends, emerging technologies, and industry developments in the field of interior design through research, professional development activities, and networking opportunities. Foster connections with industry professionals, guest speakers, and mentors to provide students with real-world insights, experiences, and opportunities for internships, collaborations, and employment. Qualifications: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. Previous experience in interior design education, preferably at the college or university level. Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in interior design, space planning, and creative expression. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and skill levels. Passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment that values diversity, creativity, and collaboration. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, administrators, and industry partners to achieve shared goals and objectives.
