Job Summary: The Account Assistant (Data Entry Operator) will be responsible for accurately inputting financial data into accounting systems and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial records. This role involves performing various administrative tasks to support the accounting department. Key Responsibilities: Inputting financial transactions into accounting software or databases. Ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records. Maintaining and updating financial records and spreadsheets. Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Reconciling discrepancies in financial data. Generating financial reports and summaries as required. Assist in day-to-day accounting tasks, including but not limited to data entry, invoicing, and reconciliation. Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus. Proven experience as a data entry operator or similar role. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
