Public Health Intern – Job Responsibilities Research & Data Collection Assist in conducting field surveys, interviews, and data collection for public health studies. Support in designing questionnaires and data tools for community assessments. Compile and analyze public health data using Excel, SPSS, or similar software. Program Implementation Support Assist project teams in planning and executing health awareness or intervention programs. Coordinate with field workers, NGOs, and local authorities for smooth program delivery. Participate in outreach activities, workshops, and health camps. Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Track project indicators and document progress reports. Support in preparing monitoring dashboards and performance summaries. Identify gaps and suggest improvements in program delivery. Documentation & Reporting Prepare reports, presentations, and case studies based on project outcomes. Maintain proper records of field visits, interviews, and survey data. Assist in drafting policy briefs, research summaries, and documentation for donors or stakeholders. Community Engagement & Awareness Engage with community groups to promote awareness on health, hygiene, and nutrition. Assist in developing IEC (Information, Education & Communication) materials such as posters, brochures, or videos. Support in training and sensitization sessions for target populations. Policy & Advocacy Support Research health policies, government schemes, and current public health challenges. Assist in preparing comparative policy briefs and recommendations. Participate in discussions, webinars, and stakeholder meetings. Collaboration & Learning Work under guidance of senior public health professionals and researchers. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (medical, social, and data experts). Stay updated with current health trends, global health news, and WHO guidelines. Preferred Skills Knowledge of epidemiology, biostatistics, or community health. Strong analytical and communication skills. Basic understanding of data collection and research methodologies. Familiarity with MS Office, Excel, or statistical tools (SPSS, STATA, etc.). Interest in health promotion, policy, or development sector work.
