DevOps Engineering Enablement-Engineer I

As a Software Engineer with a strong DevOps mindset, you will be joining a world-class DevOps Engineering Enablement team at FICO. In this role, you will be working to empower the product and engineering organization to deliver innovative solutions at scale. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining software and infrastructure components that drive automation, deployment, and observability across FICO's platform. Collaboration will be a key aspect of your role, as you will work closely with product engineers, automation and quality subject matter experts, infrastructure and security teams, and business stakeholders. Together, you will design, build, and operate high-performing, resilient, and scalable systems that accelerate product delivery and operational excellence. Your contributions will involve applying modern software engineering practices to continuously improve CI/CD, test automation, and production deployment strategies. You will also be responsible for building resilient infrastructure using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, ArgoCD, Crossplane, and Backstage. Monitoring, alerting, and reliability engineering principles will be implemented into every solution to ensure production-grade systems with measurable SLAs. In addition to technical responsibilities, you will also be an advocate for DevOps culture within the organization, encouraging collaboration, experimentation, and continual learning. Your role will include providing production support for infrastructure and deployment pipelines to ensure quick resolution of incidents and root cause analysis. To be successful in this role, you should have combined experience in software development and DevOps engineering, strong programming skills in languages like Python, Golang, or Java, and practical experience with CI/CD tools and infrastructure automation. Hands-on expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP will be essential. Problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills, along with excellent communication abilities, are also key requirements.
