Job Description

As a DevOps Engineer at Fission Labs, you will play a crucial role in managing core Linux operations, AWS core services, networking fundamentals, compute resource management, storage operations, IAM & Security, CI/CD & Source Control, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), monitoring & logging, serverless & event automation, containers & orchestration, and cost, compliance & documentation. Key Responsibilities: - Linux System Administration: Handle core Linux operations such as file system navigation, file permissions, user/groups, cron jobs, and system resource monitoring. - AWS Core Services: Provision VPCs, EC2, S3, IAM roles/users, and RDS using AWS Console. Set up public/private subnets and manage basic access controls. - Networking Fundamentals: Design and configure basic VPC components including subnets, route tables, gateways, and security groups. - Compute Resource Management: Launch, connect, and monitor EC2 instances. Understand instance types, AMIs, and system status checks. - Storage Operations: Create and manage S3 buckets, handle EBS snapshots, and AMIs for backup and recovery. - IAM & Security: Manage IAM users, groups, and basic policies. Understand CloudTrail for activity logging and Config for compliance. - CI/CD & Source Control: Use GitHub/CodeCommit for code versioning, run basic builds, and understand Git fundamentals. - Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and deploy CloudFormation YAML templates or Terraform scripts for automating cloud resource provisioning. - Monitoring & Logging: Set up CloudWatch alarms and logs to track performance metrics and identify issues. - Serverless & Event Automation: Create Lambda functions triggered by S3 events with correct IAM roles. - Containers & Orchestration: Build and run Docker containers, understand Dockerfile structure, and grasp Kubernetes concepts. - Cost, Compliance & Documentation: Configure AWS Budgets, analyze spend, document work clearly, and maintain professional communication standards. Qualifications Required: - B.E/Btech/M.E/MTech/M.S/MCA graduate, preferably from a reputed college or University.
