Job Description

The role involves managing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Edifecs tools such as SpecBuilder, MapBuilder, and EAM. You will design, develop, and implement healthcare EDI solutions using the Edifecs suite. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating and updating maps, guidelines, and profiles for HIPAA-compliant transactions. Your tasks will include developing and optimizing EDI process flows and business rules, collaborating with client architects and project managers, providing mentorship and training to internal teams, and serving as a liaison between clients and technical teams. To excel in this role, you should have at least 4 years of experience, with a minimum of 2 years in managing Edifecs implementations. Proficiency in Edifecs tools like SpecBuilder, MapBuilder, and EAM is essential. Hands-on experience with various EDI X12 transaction sets such as 834, 837, 835, 820, 270/271, among others, is required. Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, Agile methodology, and source control tools like Git is also necessary. Strong communication skills are crucial for effectively conveying technical concepts to stakeholders. Desirable skills include exposure to Edifecs version 9.x or higher, familiarity with healthcare compliance requirements (HIPAA), previous client-facing experience, understanding of integration and middleware tools, expertise in performance tuning and system optimization, and certification in Edifecs or healthcare EDI standards.
