Location : Mogappair, Mount Road, Namakkal, Kottayam Roles and Responsibilities of a Rebar Detailer Prepare accurate 2D rebar shop drawings using AutoCAD based on structural and architectural plans. Develop bar bending schedules (BBS) with correct bar shapes, lengths, and quantities. Interpret and translate construction drawings, sections, and elevations into detailed rebar layouts. Ensure all rebar drawings comply with relevant standards and codes (e.g., ACI, BS, IS). Create and manage bar marks, tags, and callouts for clarity and site execution. Coordinate with structural engineers and other team members to resolve design discrepancies or clashes . Use AutoCAD tools efficiently, including layers, blocks, polylines, and dimensioning , for organized and accurate drawings. Verify rebar lap lengths, anchorage lengths, and spacing to meet design requirements. Review and check drawings for accuracy , completeness, and compliance before submission. Update drawings based on site revisions or design changes and maintain proper version control. Prepare cutting and bending lists for fabrication purposes. Work closely with the site execution team to clarify rebar details and solve construction-related queries. Optimize rebar detailing to reduce material wastage while ensuring design integrity. Maintain a library of standard rebar shapes, blocks, and templates for consistent drafting. Ensure that deadlines are met for drawing submissions and revisions.
