Designing Engineers - MEP/Electrical

As an Electrical Design Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to develop and review electrical system designs encompassing lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, earthing, and lightning protection systems. This will involve the preparation of detailed electrical layouts, single-line diagrams (SLD), and panel schedules utilizing design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and ETAP. Additionally, you will be required to perform load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop analysis, and circuit protection studies. Another crucial aspect of your role will be the selection of appropriate electrical components and equipment such as transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers. You will collaborate closely with mechanical, civil, and architectural teams to ensure seamless integration of MEP design. Furthermore, your responsibilities will include the preparation of technical specifications, Bill of Quantities (BOQs), and tender documentation, ensuring that designs adhere to relevant standards and safety regulations. Throughout the procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning phases, you will provide essential technical support. It will be your duty to review vendor submissions meticulously to verify that equipment aligns with the design intent. Moreover, you will actively contribute to value engineering and design optimization efforts aimed at cost reduction and enhanced operational efficiency.
