Staying updated on textile trends, print technologies, and design software features will be crucial in maintaining your design expertise. Collaboration with product developers and merchandisers will ensure that your designs meet brand standards, and effective documentation and storage of CAD designs will be necessary for future reference. To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field, along with proven experience as a Textile Print Designer with CAD expertise. Proficiency in CAD software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, NedGraphics, or similar tools is required. A strong understanding of textile print techniques, materials, color theory, and trends is essential, as well as the ability to translate creative ideas into practical designs. Attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and effective communication skills are also key requirements for this position. Preferred qualifications include experience in both digital and textile print processes, knowledge of fabric construction and the production process, familiarity with 3D textile design tools, and an understanding of sustainability practices in textile design.
