Design & Production Executive

Key Responsibilities:

• Urban Zari, Hyderabad — minimalist, made‑to‑order womenswear crafted with Indian textiles and sustainable values.
• End‑to‑End Design & Product Development
• Transform vision boards, silhouettes, and fabric ideas into detailed sketches, tech packs, spec sheets, BOMs, and fit documentation across styles — coords, dresses, jackets, tops, pants, shorts.
• Co-create embroidery placements and surface detailing that feel minimal, refined, and Indian-rooted.
• Sampling, Fit & Size-Inclusive Production
• Lead sampling with local tailors, artisans, and karigars for sizes XS–7XL.
• Track sample iterations, manage fit feedback, and prepare products for shoots and launches.
• Production Setup & Vendor Relations
• Source and onboard vendors skilled in organic cotton, linen, denim.
• Maintain vendor databases including costing, MOQs, timelines, and swatch libraries.
• Coordinate sourcing, communication, and production logistics aligned with a lean, made-to-order model.
• Quality Control & Documentation
• Carry out QC checks from sample stage through final dispatch (garments, trims, packaging).
• Organize and maintain tech packs, costing sheets, fabric swatches, style archives, and measurements.
• Cross-Functional Coordination & Launch Support
• Collaborate closely with the Founder on shoots, storytelling, packaging, and customer trials.
• Ensure product readiness for photoshoots, e‑commerce listings, and collaborations.
• Team Building & Culture Setting
• Actively shape Urban Zari’s evolving team structure—help define new roles.
• Use tools like RACI matrices to clarify ownership, avoid overlap, and establish accountability.
• Set up feedback loops and communication norms, documenting and sharing role clarity and expectations via job descriptions, org charts, or role profiles LinkedIn
• 2–5 years’ experience in design/production roles—ideally in startups, boutique labels, or sampling units.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, Indian fabrics (cotton, linen, denim), embroidery techniques, and size-inclusive design.
• Skilled in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel or Google Sheets.
• Self‑driven, organized, proactive problem solver—able to juggle multiple responsibilities.
• Passionate about sustainable design, Indian craftsmanship, and inclusive fashion.
• Excited to co‑build Urban Zari’s values-led brand and team culture from ground zero bonus
• Plus‑size or custom‑fit garment experience.
• Content-creation interest (BTS storytelling, Reels).
• Familiarity with artisan sourcing, organic dyeing, ethical production processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
