Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Power Module Design:

     Design high-voltage, high-current power modules, including IGBT, SiC and GaN-based solutions.
  • Simulation & Analysis:

     Conduct electrical, thermal, and mechanical simulations to optimize module performance.
  • Schematic & PCB Design:

     Develop schematics and layouts for power electronics circuits using industry-standard tools.
  • Material Selection & Packaging:

     Evaluate materials and packaging technologies for thermal and electrical efficiency.
  • Prototyping & Testing:

     Work with manufacturing teams to develop prototypes, perform validation tests, and troubleshoot designs.
  • Compliance & Standards:

     Ensure designs meet industry safety and reliability standards (IEC, MIL, IS, etc.).
  • Collaboration:

     Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, thermal, and manufacturing engineers.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Education:

     Masters or PhD in Electrical/Electronics/Power Electronics or related field.
  • Technical Knowledge:

     Understanding of

    power semiconductor devices (IGBT, MOSFET, SiC, GaN), high-voltage insulation, and thermal management.

  • Software Proficiency:

     Experience with simulation tools like

    PSIM, LTSpice, Ansys, COMSOL, or similar.

  • Hands-on Skills:

     Exposure to PCB design tools like

    Altium, KiCad, or Eagle

     is a plus.
  • Experience Level:

     Freshers with strong fundamentals or experienced professionals with a track record in power module design.
  • Problem-Solving:

     Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Communication:

     Ability to document and present designs effectively.
