Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Proficiency in
UG NX (Unigraphics NX)
3D modeling, drafting, and surfacing.
Strong knowledge of plastic part design, injection molding process, and tooling feasibility.
Understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up.
Familiarity with automotive / consumer product design standards (preferred).
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Preferred candidate profile

Design and develop plastic components and assemblies using
UG NX CAD software.
Work on
3D modeling, 2D detailing, drafting, and GD&T
as per project requirements.
Ensure designs meet DFM, DFA, and DFE (Design for Environment) standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including tool design, manufacturing, and quality.
Support prototype development, validation, and design changes during product development.
Perform tolerance analysis and ensure design integrity throughout the project.
Maintain design documentation and ensure timely release of drawings and BOMs.
Work on engineering change management and continuous improvement initiatives.
