Design Engineer - Bridges

As a Design Engineer for Bridges, you will be responsible for creating robust and innovative design solutions for challenging infrastructure projects in Kolkata. Your role will involve performing end-to-end structural design and analysis for bridges, flyovers, and underpasses, preparing detailed design calculations, drawings, and technical reports, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated design solutions. Your expertise in structural design software and knowledge of foundation design will be key in ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: - Perform end-to-end structural design and analysis for bridges, flyovers, and underpasses, covering foundations, substructures, and superstructures. - Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, and technical reports adhering to relevant Indian and international codes (IRC, IRS, etc.). - Utilize advanced structural analysis software for modeling and simulation. - Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated design solutions. - Review and check designs for accuracy, quality, and compliance. - Provide technical support during project execution and address design-related challenges. - Stay updated on the latest trends in bridge engineering, new materials, and construction techniques. Qualifications & Skills: - Essential: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (B.Tech/B.E.). - Preferred: Master's degree (M.Tech) in Structural Engineering/Bridge Engineering. - Must Have: 5 to 7 years of proven experience in the detailed design of bridges, flyovers, and underpasses. - Strong proficiency in structural design software such as STAAD.Pro, MIDAS, SAP2000, or similar. - In-depth knowledge of foundation design, substructure, and superstructure systems. - Experience with steel bridge design is a significant advantage. - Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail. - Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
