Job Title: Interior Designer Department: Interior Designer Architecture Location: Design Deck Associate nagpur.mail: [email protected] Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time / Contract Reports To: Intern Interior Designer / Design Manager / Position Summary The Interior Designer is responsible for planning, designing, and furnishing interior environments that are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned with client needs. This role involves conceptual development, space planning, materials selection, cost estimation, and coordination with vendors, contractors, and clients. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Planning Develop creative design concepts, mood boards, color schemes, and 3D visualizations. Prepare detailed drawings, floor plans, layouts, and specifications using AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools. Perform site measurements, evaluations, and feasibility assessments. Create functional and ergonomic space plans tailored to client requirements. Client & Project Coordination Meet with clients to understand project goals, preferences, budget, and timelines. Present design proposals, material samples, furniture selections, and modifications. Coordinate with contractors, architects, engineers, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure design solutions comply with industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations. Material & Vendor Management Select materials, finishes, textiles, lighting, and furniture. Source products, negotiate pricing, and maintain vendor relationships. Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and budgets. Oversee installation, workmanship quality, and project completion. Documentation & Administration Maintain project documents, drawings, contracts, schedules, and revisions. Track project progress and ensure timely completion. Prepare reports, presentations, and design documentation. Skills & Qulifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field. Experience with design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, Photoshop, etc.). Strong creative, conceptual, and visualization skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and client-handling abilities. Knowledge of building codes, materials, and current design trends. Strong attention to detail and time-management skills. Preferred Professional certification (e.g., NCIDQ, LEED AP) is a plus. Experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, or retail design.
