Design and Proposals Engineer

You will be responsible for studying and preparing a cost-effective design for waste treatment and waste management projects. Your critical thinking skills will be crucial in finding the best possible design solutions. It is important for you to have a good knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-assisted engineering (CAE) software to create prototypes. You will also need to collect and analyze data from tests on prototypes, modify designs, and retest them as necessary. Key Responsibilities: - Receive and evaluate all enquiries for feasibility, maintaining a register for enquiry number, date, client details, and estimation submission date. - Study all documents and drawings before estimation, raising pre-bid queries to consultants/clients for any discrepancies in tender documents. - Conduct pre-bid or technical meetings with clients/consultants. - Prepare cost-effective and competitive proposals based on customer requirements and tender requirements of consultants. - Carry out design calculations for various waste treatment processes such as WTP (Filters, Softener, DM, RO, UF, etc.) and STP (MBBR, SBR, MBR, etc.). - Size all sub-vendor items like pumps, blowers, valves, piping, etc. - Assist in the preparation of P&ID and General Arrangement drawings. - Engage in technical discussions with detailed engineering personnel to optimize proposals. - Evaluate offers submitted by sub-vendors to ensure technical feasibility and commercial competitiveness. - Prepare complete Techno-Commercial offers comprising Scope of supply, Deviations, Terminal points, Exclusions, Technical data sheet. - Develop Bill of Material and cost estimation for complete systems and auxiliaries. - Create cost comparison sheets for all supply and sub-vendor items. - Perform high-risk analysis to justify any contingency submissions to management for tender submission price. - Coordinate with Marketing, Engineering, Purchase, and Contracts management for the smooth execution of the project. Qualifications Required: - Relevant degree in Engineering or related field. - Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-assisted engineering (CAE) software. - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment. - Prior experience in waste treatment/waste management projects is preferred.,
