Deputy Manager - Instrumentation

Control and Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain control and instrumentation systems for plant utilities and process equipment.
• Manage safe and efficient operation of systems including:
• Chemical Handling Systems
• Gas Distribution Systems
• Building Management Systems (BMS)
• Deionized (DI) Water Plants
• Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP)
• Fire Fighting Systems
• Exhaust and Scrubber Systems
• PLC/SCADA automation platforms
• Develop and maintain instrumentation control philosophies and logic diagrams for integration with plant operations.
• Ensure proper interface and coordination between utility equipment and process tools for smooth plant functioning.
• Lead commissioning, calibration, and troubleshooting activities for field instruments, PLCs, and DCS systems.

Specialized Experience:

• Extensive hands-on experience with

  Siemens PCS 7 Distributed Control System (DCS)

  and

  Siemens PLC systems

  , including:
• Programming and configuration
• System diagnostics and fault resolution
• Logic modification and optimization
• Integration with field instruments and third-party systems

Key Competencies:

• In-depth understanding of utility and process instrumentation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Email communication, and Internet-based tools.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with team-building capability.
• Confident in public speaking and stakeholder communication.

Additional Contributions:

• Lead and mentor down-the-line technical teams to build in-house capabilities.
• Develop indigenous vendors to reduce spare part dependency and control operation & maintenance costs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for process automation and operational excellence.
