Deputy General Manager - CAPEX Central Purchase

Job Description

Role & responsibilities Candidate will be: Handling approx. 400 Cr of forecasted spend. Have complete Ownership of Cost Optimization Targets, Supplier Strategy etc. Working Closely with the Business Unit CFTs (Purchase and relevant technical Teams) for various Purchasing initiatives: Cost Reduction, Supplier Negotiation, Consolidation etc. Responsible for Cost Benchmarking for above Commodity. Preparing Sourcing strategy for above Commodity to have sustainable supplier base, keeping in mind present and future technologies. Responsible for Long term contracts with Strategic suppliers Providing periodic updates to the Senior management about the progress on set targets, market and industry commodity trends, project status etc. Responsible for Sourcing decision on above commodities, supplier strategy etc. Travelling locally within Pune and cross India for BU Plant Locations, Suppliers locations etc Required Competencies: Knowledge and Skills (Functional Only) Personality Agile and Adaptive, Good interpersonal, analytical, Negotiation and Communication skills. Should be Innovative and Strategic in approach. Good Understanding of Automotive and Civil industry Experience in handling of Purchasing of Capital Equipment used in automotives component Industry, Civil and Construction Material and services like Land development, Civil work, PEB, MEP etc. Good knowledge of Capital equipment procurement process. Civil and Construction Material and services like Land development, Civil work, PEB, MEP etc. manufacturing process. Cost drivers, Commodity trends and Knowledge of Cost reduction levers in civil and Construction Material and services like Land development, Civil work, PEB, MEP etc. Local, Domestic and Global Supplier base specific to above commodities Supplier assessment and Supplier onboarding process Excel and other analytic tools and PowerPoint presentations Experience: B.E.(Mech) / B.E. (Electrical) and preferably Post-Graduation Diploma or Degree in Purchase / Finance Experience: 20+ years in the Sourcing and Purchasing of Capital Equipment used in automotives component Industry and procurement of Civil and Construction Material and services Preference of person having experience in Auto Industry, Civil Industry and have exposure to Purchasing of Capital Equipment used in automotives component Industry and procurement of Civil and Construction Material and services
