Job Description

As a Controls and Automation Engineering Manager in the Li-Ion Battery Manufacturing industry, you will play a crucial role in leading the design, development, and implementation of automated control systems to enhance production processes. Your responsibilities will focus on optimizing efficiency, quality, and safety within the manufacturing environment. You will oversee a team of engineers dedicated to controls, automation systems, and process control technologies, guiding them in delivering innovative solutions to drive improvements in manufacturing operations. Your key responsibilities will include leading, mentoring, and managing a team of control and automation engineers, ensuring their professional development and high performance. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, programming, testing, and implementation of various control systems such as PLC, SCADA, HMI, and DCS for the Li-Ion Battery production line. Additionally, you will design and develop the architecture for these control systems, ensuring seamless integration with plant equipment and other technologies. Your role will involve leading automation efforts across the plant, aligning automation systems with production objectives and efficiency targets. You will develop and implement Vision Control Systems for quality inspection, material tracking, and defect detection, integrating them with other automation and control systems to enhance manufacturing consistency and reduce errors. Furthermore, you will configure and manage communication protocols to facilitate reliable data exchange between different systems across the production line. In addition to managing and delivering large-scale automation projects, you will provide technical support for troubleshooting complex automation issues and collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations. Continuous improvement initiatives will be essential to optimize production efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance energy efficiency while adhering to industry regulations and safety standards. Your qualifications should include a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Control Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field, with a Master's degree or certifications in automation systems being advantageous. You should have a minimum of 11 years of experience in controls and automation engineering within a high-tech manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of leading teams and managing automation projects effectively. Proficiency in programming PLCs, configuring SCADA/HMI systems, and strong analytical skills are key requirements for this role. Your ability to communicate effectively, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and lead a team of engineers and technicians in a fast-paced manufacturing environment will be crucial for success in this position. Your role will involve continuous evaluation and improvement of control systems to enhance production efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards. Maintaining thorough documentation and providing reports on automation system performance will also be essential aspects of your responsibilities.,
