Ongoing/Non-Ongoing (fixed-term), Full Time INR 68,702 – 74,366 per month Bengaluru, India About the Australian Government’s Department of Home Affairs The Department of Home Affairs is a central policy agency, providing coordinated strategy and policy leadership for Australia's national and transport security, federal law enforcement, criminal justice, cyber security, border, immigration, multicultural affairs, emergency management and trade related functions. Immigration Operations Group delivers the permanent migration and temporary visa programs to maximise the long-term economic and social benefits to Australia across the Skilled, Family and Resident Return visa programs, and through Temporary entry to support tourism, education and international relations. The Department of Home Affairs at the Australian Consulate-General in Bengaluru is a visa processing office, delivering a wide range of temporary and permanent visas. About the Position Visa Officer Bs within the Home Affairs section assess visa applications, undertake verification checks and/ or assist with investigations and caseload integrity functions. They usually work under the direction of a Team Leader. Visa Officer Bs know and uphold Home Affairs values, the LES Code of Conduct and other relevant professional codes of ethics and practice WHS requirements. Employment conditions Subject to the successful completion of 3 months probationary period, satisfactory medical check and background verification, the successful applicant/s will be offered an Ongoing/Non-Ongoing (fixed-term) Contract.
