Job Context
Bela Cement Works is located 220 km from Jabalpur and 18 Km for Rewa Madhya Pradesh, around 06 kms from National Highway No 7 & 30. It has a cement manufacturing capacity of 2.6 MTPA and clinker capacity of 2.1MTPA. Bela plant is 6700 TPD, 6 Stage 2 String, SLC pre-heater plant which is engineered, manufactured and supplied by M/s Larsen and Toubro Limited (FLS) and commissioned in the year of 1996. The original capacity of this plant was 4500 TPD, and in the year 2003 it was upgraded to 6700 TPD. The unit has cement grinding capacity as well as clinker export facility.Limestone requirement of the plant is 3.1 MTPA. To meet the limestone requirement, limestone mines are spread over 649 Ha having deposits sufficient for around 40 years. Limestone crusher with capacity of 900 TPH, located inside plant. Material is transported from mine to plant through Dumpers.The Unit has one captive thermal power plant of 25 MW in addition to 5 MVA Grid Power Connection with SEB to cater the entire power requirement of the unit. Plant has a private railway siding for its inbound/outbound material, fuel, cement and clinker movement. Water requirement of plant is catered from water harvesting pits in mines.

- To manage the high expectations of Wage Board/Contract Labour Union without hindrance in the Plant.
- To guide and take decision in the Legal/Court matter ensuring that Company is not put into trouble by the advocates for their vested interest.
- Manage the expectations of localities approaching for jobs.

KRA1 Industrial Relations
Ensure peaceful and harmonious relationship with workmen to enable Unit meet its uninterrupted operation plans
- Interaction with Unions on periodic basis to keep channels of communication open for addressing the issues from time-to-time.
- Day to day interaction with workmen and handling grievances.
- To arrive at Understanding & Settlements including VRS, etc.
- Generating MIS on any issue arising and co-ordination with respective departments for solving them Disciplinary action wherever required.
- Ensuring Zero Man day loss
KRA2 2. Wage And Salary Administration
Organise timely payment to workmen and contract labour as per statutory requirement and as per policy laid down by the Unit.
- Guide and support Section In charge
- Review of necessary documents.
- Monitor all information pertaining to wages (i.e., ESI/PF, etc.) and ensure their timely submission to the concerned authorities
KRA3 3. Legal Matters And Disciplinary Proceedings
Ensure that all cases related to legal and disciplinary are moulded in favour of the Company to enable smooth working of Unit.

- Identified the in disciplined employees (particularly absentees) and take corrective action to maintain the discipline in the plant.
KRA4 4. Complying With Applicable Statutes
Ensure all statutory regulations are complied with in time as per Factory and Labour Laws
- Review from time to time of these compliances, e.g., renewal of factory license (once in a year), monthly PF & half-yearly ESI returns, PF contribution statements (once in a year), quarterly employment report to Employment Exchange, returns with regard to Apprentices under Apprentices Act, annual returns of contract labour, report to the Inspector of Factories (once in a year), etc.
KRA5 5. Contract Labour Management
Ensure that the required contract labour are provided as per requirement of the Unit within the Budget. Periodically rationalize the strength of contract labour by review and redeployment
- To coordinate smooth functioning of Contract Labour including Automization
- Liaise with Govt. Communication Authorities.
- Renew and monitor enforcement of activities related to contract labour.
- Implementation of Minimum wages.
- Monitor & review the number of contract labour & submit the optimization plan.
- Ensure disbursement of wages by contractors in time through bank.
- Implementation of SA 8000 provisions.
KRA6 6. Labour Welfare
Implement decisions of Management pertaining to discipline and welfare of workmen and maintain good & close relations with workmen for proper feedback
- Identify impact of decision
- Giving proper feedback on labour activities to the Management
- Ensure good services of canteen & Ensure distribution of welfare items like uniform, Safety shoes, Rain suit etc., in time
- Participate in welfare activities

- Control all budget of department.
KRA7 7. Public Relations
Ensure harmonious relationship with Government official and surrounding community to improve organization image.
- Regular interaction with Government officials for building up relationship with authorities.
- Organizing & coordinating rural development activities
- Good rapport with local opinion makers.
