Dental Assistant

The Dental Assistant will support dentists and dental surgeons in all clinical procedures, ensure smooth patient flow, maintain hygiene and sterilization standards, and deliver a comfortable and professional experience to every patient.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during examinations and dental procedures (e.g., fillings, scaling, root canal, extractions).
• Prepare and organize dental instruments, materials, and equipment before and after procedures.
• Manage chairside assistance—ensuring suction, lighting, and materials are handled efficiently.
• Maintain sterilization and infection control protocols for all instruments and work areas.
• Take and develop dental X-rays (if certified).
• Record patient medical and dental histories accurately.
• Schedule appointments and help manage patient records.
• Ensure the operatory is clean, organized, and ready for each patient.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and preventive dental practices.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma or Certification in Dental Assistance or relevant field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a dental clinic or hospital setup.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and sterilization techniques.
• Good communication and patient-handling skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a clinical environment.
• Basic computer skills for maintaining digital records.
