Our team includes highly capable graduates and PhDs from prestigious institutions such as IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, TIFR, IISc, and Stanford University. We need a Process / Production / Operations professional to lead our manufacturing, supervising small-scale production, optimising parameters, and coordinating with R&D. Your contributions will be vital for improving pilot production and scaling to full production. This rare opportunity offers a chance to work at the intersection of food science, mechanical systems, and deep-tech innovation, scaling one of the world's most advanced food technologies, with potential to grow into a role in our Engineering/R&D team. Responsibilities Supervise a production team of 4-5 members, ensuring efficient and safe operation of all equipment. Monitor process variables such as heat, pressure, and flow to ensure consistency and quality. Maintain production schedules, organise workflows, and ensure adherence to SOPs. Observe, document, and report production behaviour - providing structured feedback to the product and mechanical teams. Escalate issues promptly and coordinate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and improve production efficiency. Over time, contribute to R&D - process development and pilot-scale innovation. Attention to detail - crucial for ensuring accuracy in recipes, portioning, and quality checks. Physical stamina - the role can sometimes be physically demanding, requiring stamina and dexterity when dealing with food production machines and food products. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Engineering, or other STEM degrees. 6 months - 2 years of hands-on experience in managing production, process operations, or manufacturing (preferably in food, FMCG, or process industries). Excellent English communication skills - written and verbal. Organised, disciplined, and capable of leading small teams effectively. Ability to adapt real-time and make time-critical decisions Strong observational and analytical skills, with a mindset for continuous improvement. Our team comprises highly capable yet humble graduates and PhDs from prestigious institutions such as IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, TIFR, IISc, and Stanford University. As a Production Associate, you'll work in a critical team under a Food Production Manager, running small-scale production, providing feedback to R&D, and contributing to pilot line efficiency. Your contributions will be vital for improving pilot production and scaling to full production. This is a unique opportunity, especially for fresh grads, to work at the intersection of food science, mechanical systems, and deep-tech innovation, scaling advanced food technologies and potentially charting a career path within our engineering/R&D team. Responsibilities As part of the production team, ensure efficient and safe operation of all equipment. Handle end-to-end food processing operations, ensuring adherence to SOPs, product specifications, and full traceability throughout. Monitor process variables such as heat, pressure, and flow. M ake in-spec adjustments and escalate out-of-spec conditions. Follow production schedules. C oordinate with upstream/downstream stations to keep flow. Sample and perform in-process checks (weights, moisture/solids, temperature, texture) and record results in batch logs. Observe, document, and report production behavior, providing structured feedback to the production and R&D teams. Support troubleshooting by identifying root causes (materials, method, machine, manpower, measurement) and implement fixes. Contribute to R&D - process development and pilot-scale innovation over time. Sanitation & hygiene - perform pre-op checks, end-of-shift cleaning, and CIP/COP per SOPs. Quality & food safety - follow GMPs/HACCP, prevent cross-contamination and foreign-matter risks; use and store chemicals correctly. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Engineering, or other science degrees. Eagerness to learn and break into a career in FoodTech.
