Job Title: PED Assembly Engineer / Senior Engineer Location: Oragadam Experience Required: 2 10 years Industry: Automobile / Automotive Job Description : We are seeking an experienced professional to join our PED (Product Engineering & Development) Assembly team. The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to manufacturing engineering or NPD (New Product Development) functions and hands-on expertise in setting up and optimizing assembly processes. Key Responsibilities: Develop and optimize process flow diagrams, control plans, and takt time calculations for assembly operations. Support new assembly line setup including equipment selection, layout planning, and validation. Conduct and validate leak testing, tightening processes, and quality control checks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (PED, Manufacturing, NPD, Quality) to ensure smooth new product introduction. Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle time, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Monitor and resolve assembly-related issues, providing technical support to the production team. Prepare and maintain documentation for assembly processes and validation reports. Candidate Profile: Experience : 210 years in PED, Manufacturing Engineering, or NPD departments in the automobile/automotive industry. Qualification : B.E./ B.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, Production, or related engineering fields. Skills Required : Strong knowledge of process flow diagram, control plan, takt time, leak testing, assembly line setup, and tightening processes. Good understanding of automotive assembly standards and quality systems (IATF/ISO/TS16949). Problem-solving and analytical skills with hands-on shop floor exposure. Strong communication and team collaboration abilities. Experience in PED,Manufacturing engineering or NPD Departments with the knowledge of Process flow diagram,control plan,takt time,leak testing,new assembly line set up,tightening process.
