Job: Business Unit Head /GM (Typical) Reporting Line: Globally MD Dellner Polymer Solutions Locally – Dellner Group CEO – India Mission Statement: The BU Head/GM - will be responsible for all activities of Dellner Polymer India Pvt Ltd. This Dellner Group business vertical manufactures and supplies rubber to metal bonded & rubber fabricated products that are used primarily in off-highway equipment’s and railway industry. This individual will be driving profitable growth, operational excellence, and technological leadership. This role requires strong expertise in sales, industrial manufacturing, customer management in off-highway equipment and railway sectors and the ability to align business strategies with long-term corporate objectives. Key Responsibilities Strategy & Leadership Develop and implement the business unit strategy aligned with overall corporate goals. Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share in the off-highway equipment, railway (Freight & Passenger) and any other segments which fall into the company’s strategic growth strategies such as military, marine, mining, oil & gas, wind and material handling. Establish long-term business development roadmaps, including product diversification and export markets. Lead cross-functional teams towards shared objectives. Business Development & Customer Engagement Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers and railway authorities. Identify and develop new business opportunities in domestic markets. Ensure customer satisfaction by meeting safety, quality, delivery and cost expectations. Negotiate long-term supply contracts and pricing strategies. Operations & Manufacturing Excellence Oversee manufacturing operations with focus on safety, quality, productivity, high delivery performance and cost optimization. Implement lean manufacturing, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives. Drive digitalization, automation, and advanced manufacturing practices where relevant. Ensure adherence to environmental and regulatory compliance. Product Development & Innovation Coordinate with group R&D based in UK for developing new rubber-to-metal bonded and rubber fabrication solutions for evolving customer needs. Support product engineering for off-highway, railway applications and other sectors which fall within the group strategy as listed above. Monitor technology trends and ensure the BU remains competitive in materials, design, and process innovations. Financial & P&L Responsibility Full ownership of the BU’s P&L, including revenue, margins, cash flow, and working capital. Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans. Optimize resource allocation for maximum return on investment. Risk Management Identify potential operational risks, develop mitigation strategies, and establish contingency plans to minimize disruptions and ensure business continuity. People Leadership & Culture Build and nurture a high-performing leadership team in accordance with Dellner’s core values and priorities. Drive talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement. Foster a culture of accountability, customer focus, innovation, and operational excellence. Skills (Experience & Education) Bachelor’s degree in chemical / mechanical engineering. Person from Railway Industry is preferred. 20–25 years of experience in manufacturing (preferably rubber-to-metal, polymer, or automotive components). Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role with full P&L responsibility. Strong exposure to off-highway equipment and/or railway sector customers. Proven experience in business development, global markets, and strategic partnerships. Knowledge of lean manufacturing, quality systems (ISO/TS, IRIS), and regulatory requirements. Location Chennai
Job: Operations Manager- Wind Division India (Typical) Reporting Line: COO Mission Statement: The Operations Manager will be responsible for manufacturing operations of Hydraulic Power Packs , Cooling Systems , Hydraulic Piston Accumulators , Hydraulic Cylinders & Brakes which are supplied as OEM Equipment to various customers in the Wind Turbine Industry and Industrial Hydraulics Domain Operational Leadership: Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance departmental efficiency and effectiveness. Monitor production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of products while maintaining quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operations with broader organizational goals. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement. Resource Management: Allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to achieve production targets and project deadlines. Forecast resource needs based on project demands and departmental goals. Optimize resource utilization to minimize waste and maximize productivity. Quality Assurance and Safety: Ensure compliance with quality standards, industry regulations, and safety protocols.
