Job Title: Delivery Head - Application Development & Maintenance

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Delivery Head to lead Application Development & Maintenance (ADM) engagements, strengthen client relationships and drive business unit growth. The role requires strong delivery governance, commercial ownership and experience managing projects across Java, .NET, Python and/or data platforms, including AI-led initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery across multiple ADM engagements, ensuring quality, timelines, budgets and contractual commitments.
- Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, manage expectations and lead governance reviews and escalations.
- Own portfolio financial performance, including revenue, profitability, utilization, resource planning and delivery costs.
- Partner with sales and account teams to identify account expansion opportunities, support proposals and drive business unit growth.
- Lead application development, modernization, integration and/or data engineering projects across Java, .NET, Python and related platforms.
- Manage AI/GenAI projects from business requirements through production deployment, ensuring measurable business outcomes.
- Drive AI-assisted engineering and automation to improve delivery productivity and quality.
- Manage delivery risks, dependencies, scope changes and recovery plans across fixed-price and T&M engagements.
- Build and mentor delivery managers, project managers and engineering teams, strengthening capabilities and succession planning.
Required Experience and Skills
- Proven experience leading large, multi-project ADM portfolios within an IT services organization.
- Strong experience managing delivery of projects built on
Java, .NET, Python and/or data engineering platforms
, with sufficient technical depth to review solution approaches, guide teams and manage delivery risks. - Strong understanding of application architecture, cloud platforms, enterprise integrations and modernization.
- Demonstrated experience managing
AI/GenAI projects beyond proof of concept
, including integration with enterprise applications or data platforms and production deployment. - Strong executive stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience owning P&L or portfolio profitability and contributing to business unit or account growth.
- Sound understanding of Agile delivery, DevOps, delivery metrics and commercial models.
- Ability to balance client commitments, engineering priorities and business objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Onsite experience working with clients in the
US and/or Europe
. - Experience supporting presales, solutioning, estimation, and large deal pursuits.
- BE/B.Tech/MCA or equivalent; management qualifications would be an advantage.
