Incumbent may process student information; serve as receptionist, answering telephones, taking messages, making telephone calls, and assisting students and visitors; manage/monitor the teacher's workroom; manage/monitor the copy center; and/or supervise students in various settings. Description Classified position is announced to all qualified applicants. Office Assistant // 7 hours per week / One Year Only / Salary Grade 3 - $16.92 per hour (Support Salary Table 2025-26) [Promotions result in a 5% minimum increase GENERAL FUNCTION: This position will be 7 hours per week for one year only. Hours are from 4 to 7:30 pm on Tuesday and Thursday nights. The adult education department needs a reliable person to open the secure doors for our night students. Candidate will also answer phone calls and talk to walk-in students and answer questions. This would be a perfect job for a college student or other current employee who has 19.5 hours per week at another location. Candidate must be 21+ years old. Preferred skill is someone who can speak Spanish. Educational Requirements: 1. High School graduation or equivalent education and/or experience. Knowledge & Ability: 1.
