The Role Focus Area: What You’ll Drive Crop & Irrigation Expertise • Build and update crop-knowledge bases (plant physiology, plant pathology) for apples, potatoes, cereals, vegetables & fruit • Design irrigation / fertigation strategies that boost yields while protecting soil health Diagnostics & Advisory • Develop IPM-aligned decision trees and spray calendars • Craft residue-free management plans and grower guides Content & Thought Leadership • Write clear, evidence-based articles for blogs, journals and ag-media • Produce white papers, training decks and field protocols (manage references in Mendeley) Customer Success • Answer agronomy questions via in-app chat, WhatsApp and email • Translate complex data into concise, actionable advice Data Collaboration • Partner with data scientists to review and annotate field datasets • Provide agronomic context that sharpens model accuracy What You Bring Education: M.Sc. (Agriculture, Horticulture, Life-Science, Environmental Science, Biochemistry). Ph.D. is highly desirable . Experience: ≥ 3 years in hands-on agronomy or crop consultancy (orchards / potatoes / cereals / high-value horticulture). Proven technical writing record. Skills: Fluent English—spoken & written is mandatory Strong research, statistical and analytical chops Comfort with irrigation scheduling tools, soil-plant analysis & field trials Proficiency with MS Office and reference managers (Mendeley / Zotero) Mind-set: Data-driven, entrepreneurial, eager to own outcomes, ready for a long-term (2 yr+) commitment in a distributed start-up.
