Database Engineer - PostgreSQL

In this role, you will be responsible for managing, configuring, and optimizing Postgres and Aurora databases on AWS. Your key responsibilities will include: - Managing, configuring, and optimizing Postgres and Aurora databases on AWS - Implementing and monitoring database performance tuning, indexing, and partitioning - Handling backup, restore, high availability, and disaster recovery (PITR, replication) - Collaborating with application teams for schema design and query optimization - Ensuring database security, user management, and access control policies - Troubleshooting and resolving production database issues efficiently To qualify for this position, you should have: - 3+ years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and SQL - Strong experience with Aurora PostgreSQL and AWS RDS - Expertise in database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization - Knowledge of backup/restore strategies and replication - Understanding of cloud environments and database monitoring tools Preferred skills for this role include: - Familiarity with NoSQL databases and data migration strategies - Experience with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.) - Exposure to DevOps/CI-CD practices - Knowledge of security best practices in AWS For more details, refer to the job listing on hirist.tech.,
