As an experienced candidate with a minimum of 3+ years of working with PostgreSQL, you will be responsible for the following key tasks: - Demonstrate expert level SQL, PL/pgSQL skills, including proficiency in stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views. - Utilize your knowledge of JSON and PostgreSQL support for JSON, along with a good grasp of ETL concepts. - Display proficiency in PostGIS and core geospatial concepts, and experience with NoSQL databases (e.g. Apache Cassandra) and NoSQL support in PostgreSQL. - Apply your expertise in working with time series databases and familiarity with message queuing, full text indexing, and other high-performance data concepts. In this role, your responsibilities will include: - Working with huge, interdependent, complex datasets and data structures. - Providing guidance and support to Application Developers. - Assisting with schema design, code review, and SQL query tuning. - Installing, tuning, implementing, and upgrading DBMS installations. - Administering, managing, and tuning databases effectively. - Writing and deploying SQL patches. - Upgrading and improving application schema and data upgrades.
