Role & responsibilities

Experience with other RDBMS (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, DB2).
High Availability: clustering, replication, failover strategies.
Backup & Disaster Recovery: proven experience in backup/restore processes.
Security: encryption, access controls.
Cloud Knowledge: AWS, Azure, GCP for cloud-based deployments.

Core Requirements & Skills

Database Knowledge
:

Columnstore vs rowstore optimizations and balancing in SingleStore.
Strong SQL proficiency: writing complex queries, stored procedures, optimizing performance.

Scripting
:

Python and Unix (Shell) for automation.

Distributed Systems

Experience with SingleStore or similar distributed SQL systems.

Performance Tuning
:

Optimize queries, indexes, and database design for speed and scalability.
