Data Scientist ML & Model Support

As a Customer-Facing Data Scientist at Aera Technology, you will play a crucial role in collaborating closely with customers to troubleshoot issues, enhance deployed models, and optimize ML/AI systems for real-world performance. Your responsibilities will include investigating complex datasets, conducting extensive Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), acting as the primary technical contact for Data Science issues, fine-tuning hyperparameters, articulating technical findings clearly to customers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement comprehensive solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Investigate complex datasets to diagnose issues like model degradation, unexpected patterns, and data quality problems. - Conduct extensive Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to identify patterns, validate assumptions, and provide data-backed answers to critical business inquiries. - Act as the primary technical contact for Data Science issues, ensuring prompt responses, clear communication, and end-to-end ownership of problem resolution. - Fine-tune hyperparameters, retrain models, and implement algorithmic adjustments based on analytical insights. - Articulate technical findings clearly to customers and internal stakeholders, fostering trust through transparent and responsive communication. - Collaborate with support, product, engineering, and partner teams to implement comprehensive solutions, enhance processes, and ensure a positive customer experience. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field preferred. Equivalent practical experience and demonstrated skills will also be considered. - 2+ years of experience in data science or data analysis. - Hands-on experience developing, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models in production environments. - Proficiency in Python, SQL, and relevant ML frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct rigorous data analysis and communicate findings clearly. - Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and directly with customers to solve business problems. - Experience with data visualization tools. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.,
