Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, statistical modelling, and machine learning. This role will involve identifying, analysing and delivering data science use cases that enhance efficiencies and deliver significant value within Alliad, while being responsible for analyzing large datasets, developing predictive models, and providing actionable insights to support decision-making across our various business units. Role & responsibilities Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources. Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to solve business problems and aid in decision making. Analyze and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions. Lead analytical and data science projects from inception through deployment, ensuring successful implementation Utilise sophisticated visualisation techniques to make data accessible and engaging for end-users Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders through reports, dashboards, and presentations. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning technologies. Regular travel to the business units will be required in the first year to understand the business requirements. Preferred candidate profile Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role. Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining techniques. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL. Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar. Skilled in managing and merging complex data sets Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience in the Food supply, Construction, or Facility Management sectors. Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
