Data Science Optimization

As a Data Science Optimization Analyst at Tata Insights and Quants, your role involves applying optimization and simulation algorithms using various tools to enhance process efficiency across multiple business functions. You will be responsible for analyzing business problems, designing solutions, and converting them into mathematical models. Additionally, you will build and apply optimization and simulation algorithms such as Simplex, Interior Point, and Dynamic Program, among others, to areas like logistics planning, job scheduling, and network optimization. Key Responsibilities: - Apply Optimization/ Simulation algorithms to improve process efficiency - Perform detailed analysis of business problems and technical environments - Formulate business problems into mathematical models using various techniques - Build mathematical optimization models using tools like AIMMS, CPLEX, GLPK - Lead Proof of Concepts and document solutions and recommendations - Work collaboratively with different teams to implement models and monitor outcomes - Identify opportunities to leverage organization data for process efficiency - Assist in the design, planning, and governance of implementing Optimization/ Simulation solutions Experience and Skills: - Experience in Manufacturing, Aviation, and Logistics - 3+ years of experience in optimization, simulation, and data science - Proficiency in tools like AIMMS, CPLEX, GLPK, GUROBI - Familiarity with building Predictive and Forecast models - Knowledge of Python and R is advantageous Education Qualification: - Bachelors/ Master's degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines with experience in mathematical optimization Tata Insights and Quants, a division of Tata Industries, aims to create the best in-house capability for data analytics.
