Data Science and Engineering Specialist

The Data Science and Engineering Specialist role requires 7-12 years of total experience and is based in Chennai on a permanent hire basis. As a Data Science and Engineering Specialist, you will utilize data science techniques and engineering principles to develop and optimize data-driven solutions. Your role will involve combining analytical skills with technical expertise to create innovative models and systems that drive business insights and efficiencies. Your main responsibilities will include developing and implementing data models and algorithms, designing and optimizing data pipelines and workflows, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data needs, analyzing large datasets for actionable insights, creating and maintaining documentation for data processes, ensuring data quality and integrity, developing and deploying machine learning models, performing data preprocessing and feature engineering, monitoring and improving data system performance, and staying updated on the latest data science and engineering trends. To succeed in this role, you should have proficiency in data science tools and languages such as Python and R, a strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, expertise in data engineering and ETL processes, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, the ability to work with large and complex datasets, strong communication and collaboration abilities, knowledge of cloud platforms and big data technologies, experience with data visualization tools, an understanding of software development principles, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
