Data Protection & Recovery Specialist

Job Description: You will be responsible for managing enterprise-level data backup, disaster recovery, and cyber-resilience operations. You will work with industry-leading technologies to ensure data integrity, availability, and security across the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Design and deploy enterprise backup systems including Dell NetWorker, Veeam, Commvault, and NetBackup. - Optimize backup schedules and policies such as Full, Incremental, and Differential backups. - Manage backup storage across disk, tape, and cloud environments. - Validate backup and restoration processes, perform regular restore drills, and maintain reporting compliance. - Configure and manage Azure Backup, AWS Backup, and hybrid cloud recovery solutions. - Implement data lifecycle and archival policies using S3, Blob, or Glacier. - Deploy and maintain backup solutions for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments. - Develop and document disaster recovery (DR) strategies and architecture. - Manage replication technologies like VMware SRM, Veeam Replication, and Azure Site Recovery. - Conduct DR drills, failover testing, and ensure RPO/RTO objectives are met. - Create and maintain DR runbooks and automation workflows. - Design and operate Cyber Recovery Vaults such as Dell Cyber Vault. - Configure immutable backups using Data Domain Retention Lock and S3 Object Lock. - Establish air-gapped recovery environments and ransomware recovery playbooks. - Perform cyber recovery testing and compliance validation. Qualifications Required: - Experience in managing enterprise-level data backup, disaster recovery, and cyber resilience solutions. - Proficiency in technologies like Veeam, Commvault, Dell NetWorker, NetBackup, Azure, and AWS. - Strong understanding of Backup & Recovery, DR & BCP Planning, Cloud Backup (Azure/AWS), Cyber Recovery Vaults, and Ransomware Protection.
