Job Description

As a Data Architect at Diageo, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the transformation of our business capabilities through data and digital technology. You will be responsible for analyzing the overall IT landscape and various technologies to ensure seamless integration. Your expertise in data modeling, schema design, and data architectures will be essential in driving our enterprise data management, data warehouse, and business intelligence initiatives. You will have the opportunity to review data models for completeness, quality, and adherence to established architecture standards. Your strong capabilities in comparing and recommending tools and technologies will be instrumental in enhancing our data management processes. Additionally, your proficiency in metadata maintenance and data catalog management will contribute to the overall efficiency of our data systems. Preferred qualifications for this role include experience with Databricks Lakehouse architecture, expertise in working with file formats such as Parquet, ORC, AVRO, Delta, and Hudi, and exposure to CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps. Knowledge and experience with Azure data offerings will be beneficial in effectively leveraging our data resources.
