Data Engineer - Intermediate

Role Overview: You will be responsible for managing project progress, metadata collection, development, and management with moderate supervision. Additionally, you will perform investigations on internal/external stakeholder queries, analyze problems, identify root causes, formulate findings, suggest resolutions, and communicate with stakeholders. It is essential to maintain current knowledge of industry regulatory requirements and support internal/external queries on data standards. Following established security protocols, performing data quality checks, and entering/maintaining information in the documentation repository are also key responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Manage project progress, metadata collection, development, and management - Investigate internal/external stakeholder queries with high-level direction - Analyze problems, identify root causes, formulate findings, suggest resolutions, and communicate with stakeholders - Maintain knowledge of industry regulatory requirements and support queries on data standards - Follow security protocols, identify and report potential vulnerabilities - Perform data quality checks and enter/maintain information in the documentation repository Qualifications Required: - BS degree in a STEM major or equivalent discipline; Masters Degree strongly preferred - 4+ years of experience as a data engineer or related role - Cloud certification strongly preferred - Intermediate skills in Python, SQL, or scripting languages - Basic understanding and experience with Google Cloud Platforms and cloud computing concepts - Experience building and maintaining data pipelines, supporting the design and implementation of basic data models, and proficient Git usage - Additional qualifications that could set you apart include a Master's Degree, experience with GCP, big data tools, relational SQL and NoSQL databases, data pipeline and workflow management tools, AI or Machine Learning, data visualization tools, and object-oriented scripting languages.,
