Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Job Purpose:

The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures to support analytics, business intelligence, and data-driven decision-making. This role ensures high-quality, reliable, and secure data flow across systems and platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Pipeline & ETL Development:

Design, develop, and maintain
ETL processes
and
data integration workflows
using tools like
Azure Data Factory
.
Build and optimize
data pipelines
for structured and unstructured data.

Big Data & Cloud Technologies:

Work with
Apache Hadoop
,
Apache Spark
, and other
parallel computing frameworks
for large-scale data processing.
Implement solutions on
cloud platforms
such as
Microsoft Azure
for
data storage
,
processing
, and
management
.

Data Modeling & Warehousing:

Develop
dimensional models
and maintain
data warehouses
for analytics and reporting.
Ensure
data quality
,
data governance
, and compliance with organizational standards.

Programming & Automation:

Write efficient code in
Python
,
Java
,
Scala
, and
SQL
for data processing and transformation.
Implement
DevOps practices
,
version control
, and
configuration management
for deployment and maintenance.

Analytics & Visualization Support:

Collaborate with
data scientists
and
business intelligence teams
to provide clean, reliable datasets.
Support
data visualization
and
reporting tools
for decision-making.

Operational & Risk Management:

Monitor
production systems
, ensure
reliability controls
, and manage
problem resolution
.
Document processes and maintain compliance with
IT operations
standards.

Required Skills & Competencies:
